How To Start Deep Diving
When you dive below 60 feet, there are special safety considerations. If you’re ready to expand your boundaries, our PADI Instructor will help you gain the skills and confidence to explore to a maximum depth of 130 feet.
During four deep dives with our PADI Instructor, you’ll practice descents, buoyancy and safety stops. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll discover how deep dives affect color, physical objects and your brain.
Prerequisites: Because of the advanced nature of diving the wrecks we use for training at KLDC we require the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course as a pre-requisite for this course. The AOW course may be taken concurrently with the Deep Diver Course.
Total time commitment: 2-3 days (dives must be completed over a minimum of two days)
Minimum age: 15 years or older
This course requires both knowledge development and inwater training for certification. The PADI E-Learning for the Deep Diver Course is a required part of this training. E-Learning must be completed prior to beginning in-water training with KLDC.
In addition to basic scuba equipment, you will also need a dive computer, a dive light and a slate. These items are available at a discounted package price at KLDC, ask us for details.
